Who are we?

We are a group of UWE & Bristol students/grads that have built an app called stuDex. 

stuDex is a student-only app for finding & sharing everything from local events, deals, services, and most importantly, student-led groups & activities. We want you to truly explore your passion, find your place in the community, and discover yourself in the process.

Why host with us?

Got an idea - house social, badminton club, study jam, open mic, society collab? Share it with us and we’ll help you make it real. When approved, we can chip in with an Uber Eats Gift card (up to £100)  to help you arrange  pizza/food, soft drinks, and basic supplies.

How it works?

  1. Pitch it (60s form). Tell us the plan + rough date.

  2. We reply fast. either a thumbs‑up or a couple of quick questions. 

  3. Post it on stuDex. We’ll help polish the listing + promo.

  4. Run the event. A stuDex ambassador might pop by to help & say hi.

  5. Share a couple pics. We love spotlighting student hosts.

What we’re looking for

  • Student‑led, friendly, and inclusive.

  • Sensible numbers/space and a basic plan.

  • Soonish (ideally within 2–4 weeks) so we can help promote.

What we ask

  • List it on stuDex and keep details accurate (our rep can help you create the post).

  • Let a stuDex rep say hello at the event (short visit).

  • Share pics on your socials and tag us @studexapp

Quick FAQs

Do you cover everything?
No, small, targeted help so more events can run.

How early should I apply?
At least 7 days ahead. The earlier the better for bookings.

Can I get something other than Uber Eats Voucher?
Yes, if you have a specific request (e.g. booking a sports court) please let us know and we can confirm whether we can accommodate.

House parties?
Yep, keep it respectful and within rules.
